A Brief Rant

Handshaking. One of the most annoying things to me is when you first meet someone, and they try to do some kind of weird hand shake with you. Like you’re supposed to just know it. Ok, I guess I’m a pretty old fashioned guy, and when I shake someones hand, I use the plain, old fashioned, normal hand shake.
True, sometimes I can be a bit of a square and kind of clueless when it comes to whatever’s “hip” but honestly, the thing that I don’t like is every other joe-cool I meet at work or a friend of a friend or whoever, who wants to shake hands when they meet you, does some weird over the shoulder, behind the back, backflip-handstand holding they’re breath for 30 seconds handshake, I don’t even know…
And then when I of course don’t know what the heck they’re doing, they shake they’re head like I’m the only one who doesn’t know they’re secret hand shake, and they gotta give me the little tutorial; they gotta show me what I’m doing wrong like I’ll remember for next time. Gee whiz, thanks.
